As you all may know, there’s nothing better than using plants found in nature that can benefit us. Moreover, many of the plants found in nature have tons of benefits for us, due to their nutrients and medicinal properties. Research indicates that aloe vera has numerous of benefits because it is one of the best herbal remedies. Aloe vera is not only good for just your skin but your entire body. It is also inexpensive.
My favorite use of aloe vera for skin care is being able to use this plant and making multiple face masks. I can get together with all of my friends and have a DIY aloe vera face mask party on a Friday night. Aloe Vera can be used to create a mask to help fight acne.
Aloe Vera Face Mask: Acne
- aloe vera gel,
- nutmeg powder, and
- lemon juice
Mix all of these three ingredients and apply it onto your face for 15 minutes or until it dries peel. Then rinse your face with lukewarm water and dry off with a clean towel. I used to face mask once to twice a week depending on how my acne decided to act. Once you wash and dry your face you will notice an automatic glow on your skin. This is probably why I still enjoy making my own aloe vera face masks. Aloe vera hydrates your skin, therefore, it is seen in many cosmetic products.
Additionally, there are many products that you can purchase that include aloe vera. It really depends on what you are looking for. I have also used some products that use aloe vera and I have had great results.
My second favorite aloe vera skin care face mask is for glowing skin. Once you begin to do this you will see why I really like this mask. However, when I dealt with acne I tried to focus more on my skin and how to fight acne naturally once I decided to find other solutions besides prescriptions for my skin.
Aloe Vera Face Mask: Glowing Skin
- aloe vera gel,
- coconut oil, and
Mix these three ingredients and apply on your face for 15-20 minutes or until you notice it dries peel. Then wash your face with lukewarm water and dry off with a clean towel. I love using coconut oil for my skin and hair as well as including it in this mix. I also use organic honey because I feel that it makes a difference when combined with coconut oil and aloe vera. Finally, once you dry your face with a towel you will see that your skin has a natural glow to it. I’ve honestly concluded that anytime I use aloe vera I am going to see a natural glow regardless of its use.
Aloe Vera Face Mask: Oily Skin
- aloe vera gel,
- lemon juice, and
- plain yogurt
Mix these three ingredients and apply on your face for 15-20 minutes or until you notice it dries peel. Then wash your face with lukewarm water and dry off with a clean towel. During the summer months when I get super oily around the T-zone I tend to stick to this face mask just about every other day. When I started doing this I noticed that my forehead and chin were not as oily as when I was not using this face mask. Furthermore, I always do my face masks at night so that I can wake up and feel great after a good night’s sleep.
Additionally, if you do not want to make your own face mask for oily skin then you can purchase them online or in-stores.
Aloe Vera Face Mask: Sensitive Skin
- aloe vera,
- banana, and
Make a paste with these three products and apply on your face for 20 minutes or until you notice it dries peel. Then wash your face with cold water and dry off with a clean towel. If your anything like me, then trying new cosmetic products may cause your skin to abruptly breakout, however with aloe vera you will not have that problem. You can also make a face mask for sensitive skin to use every day and you will not have any skin issues.
Hair and Nail Growth? Use Aloe Vera
You can even use aloe vera for hair and nail growth. One plant of aloe vera can really be used for multiple purposes. It really just depends on what you want to focus on. For hair growth you can use aloe vera gel and lemon juice. Apply that mix to your hair and leave it on for 30 minutes. Then wash your hair with cold water and use shampoo.
If you’re looking on how to grow out your natural nails then you should rub aloe vera into your nail beds to soften your cuticles and keep your nails hydrated.
Once you do this once you will realize that aloe vera has many perks and the best part about it is that it is inexpensive!
